Mt. Hood Rock Club is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit organization, guided by an elected Board of Directors that ensures the club operates smoothly, stays true to its mission, and continues offering great experiences for its members.

The board consists of officers and board members at large who meet monthly to discuss club business, make decisions, and support club activities. All members are welcome to attend board meetings, which are held at 6:00 PM before the club’s business meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at Gresham United Methodist Church.

2025–2026 Board of Directors

President – Sue Steward
Leads the club, presides over meetings, and ensures smooth operations.

Vice President – Barbara Brandt
Assists the president and assumes leadership in their absence.

Past President – Stephen Petkovsek
Provides guidance and continuity based on past leadership experience.

Secretary – Julie Templeton
Keeps meeting minutes and maintains club records.

Treasurer – Kelly Gigliotti
Manages club finances and maintains financial records.

Federation Director – Susie Koppert
Represents MHRC in the Northwest Federation of Mineralogical Societies (NFMS) and communicates federation updates to the club.

Board Members at Large – AJ Cohen, Jim Crismon, Carina Mears Connery, Becky Nixon, and Kai Weller
Serve as points of contact for members, assist committees, and provide input on club governance.

Elections & Term Lengths

Elections for officers and board members at large are held annually at the first meeting in May. All present members in good standing are eligible to vote. Members interested in joining the board should contact the Past President to learn more.
