The club maintains a volunteer-run lapidary shop located in the Watershed PDX building at 5040 SE Milwaukie Ave in Portland, OR. Use of this space is for MHRC members only, and reservations are required. Be sure to check the online calendar and contact the shop host to reserve your spot in advance.
Shop use is $10 a session. We take cash or cards. If paying in cash, please bring small bills to make exact change — we do not keep cash on site to make change with.
We offer inexpensive slab cutting on the oil saws for an additional fee, which is discounted for members. We also offer public slab cutting services.
Our volunteer shop hosts teach lapidary to beginners. If it’s your first time coming to the shop the host will happily show you the ropes!
MHRC Lapidary Shop was founded and is operated as a learning center for hobbyists. Our equipment and operations are not intended for mass production or commercial work. Please respect our equipment, our gracious volunteer hosts, and fellow guests.
See the club calendar for the shop schedule and shop host contact information.
