Mt. Hood Rock Club maintains two thunderegg claims in the Ochoco Mountains, off of U.S Route 26, east of Prineville, Oregon. Our annual field trip program always includes at least one group trip to the claims. Club members are also welcome to visit the claims on their own, and should email our claim manager, Roberta Hanson, to obtain official permission, waivers, and information on the dig site and others nearby.

Access to these claims is only available through club membership, club field trips, or special arrangements for claim swaps with other clubs through our club president.
